The admissions process is designed to be easy — and transparent. Here are the answers Hamilton parents ask most.
Students are enrolled for the school year beginning in September. Applications are accepted through March, starting late January for current students and mid-February for open enrollment.
Acceptance depends on space, age, and priority given to children already in the program as well as their siblings. Exceptions are made if there is space available for the child to start anytime during the year.
Commitment to the three-year development cycles of the children is essential. Families should be prepared to allow the child to complete the entire three years of each cycle. Students are enrolled for the entire academic year, and summer if applicable, and families are held responsible for the yearly financial obligation.
The $1,100 security deposit automatically rolls over to the following year's deposit. It is either refunded at the end of the child's cycle in the program or allotted towards the tuition of the student's final year of attendance. Notice of intent to withdraw prior to completion of a cycle forfeits the deposit.
Tuition payment is not subject to a refund, and the obligation to pay full tuition may not be cancelled, either through absence or dismissal by the school or withdrawal by the parents, for any reason, at any time through the year.
The Montessori School of Hamilton admits students of any race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin to the rights, privileges, programs and activities made available to students. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, and other school-administered programs.
Pack a change of clothes, weather-appropriate outerwear, and any comfort item your child needs for a smooth morning.
State law requires parents to complete a number of mandatory forms before your child's entrance date, and the school needs this information on file. A copy of the State of New Jersey child care center requirements manual is on file for your review.
